She had been under treatment for the ailment since the first of the month. She was 52 years of age. Funeral services were conducted at the Zion Lutheran Church in Benkelman Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Walter Rossbach officiating. Casket bearers were Gaile Dunn, Henry Frenzen, Chris Anderson, Sam Jones, Bud Shillinger and Howard Miller. Honorary pallbearers were the members of the Benkelman Volunteer Fire Department of which Mr. Todd is the Chief. Out of town relatives attending the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Fullertson, Dennis, Diane and Shirley and Mrs. Betty Todd of Valentine, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Prentice, Springview, Mo.; Norman Smith, Karen Smith and Mrs. Rita Lytle of Scottsbluff; Mr. and Mrs. William Dixon, St. Paul, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Harley Smith, Scottsbluff; Alan and Ray Hoyt and Mr. and Mrs. William Dixon, St. Paul, Nebr.; and Mr. Mrs. William Rhea of Billings, Montana; Mr. and Mrs. Rex Todd, Holdrege; Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Todd, Brush Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. John E. Hill, Denver; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Brown, Englewood, Colo., and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Maddox, Junction City, Kansas. Eva C. Hoyt. Daughter of Charles and Pearl Hoyt, was born in Cherry County, Nebraska, near Whitman, Nebraska. In 1925, on July 8th, she was united in marriage to Charles L. Todd and to this union six children were born: Charles Rex, Norman Duaine, Joyce Jean, Rudy Nevelle, Barbara Jewell, and Vondalee. She spent the early years of her life near Whitman, moving to Valentine, Nebraska, after her marriage. In 1940 she moved with her family to the Benkelman area where she spent the remaining years of her life. She was baptized and confirmed with her husband in the Zion Lutheran Church in Benkelman on October 14, 1954. Survivors include her husband, Charles, six children and ten grandchildren. The children and families are: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rex Todd, Holdrege; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Duaine Todd, Benkelman; Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Nevelle Todd, Brush, Colorado; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Maddox, Junction City, Kansas; Mr. and Mrs. John Hill, Denver, Colorado; and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Brown, Englewood, Colo. Other Survivors include three sisters, Marie Rae, Billings, Montana; Florence Dixon of St. Paul, Nebraska; and Alice Smith of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; and two brothers Allen and Ray Hoyt of Billings, Montana.
