Description	:	Eva C. Duckett, 98, a ten-year resident of East Wenatchee, and a longtime resident of the Wenatchee Valley, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, in Highline Care Center. She was born Jan. 2, 1904 to John and Elevna Venable at Rufus, OR. She was raised and educated in Oregon. As a teenager, she moved to Yakima and worked in a local cannery, later returning to Oregon where she went to work for her sister on a wheat farm. She was born Jan. 2, 1904 to John and Elevna Venable at Rufus, OR. She was raised and educated in Oregon. She married Clifford Duckett on Sept. 12, 1926 at Wenatchee where they made their home. Eva loved to garden and enjoyed taking care of her children, grandchildren and the family home. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Lorelei and her husband W. Lee Standerford of East Wenatchee; Shirley J. Robinson also of East Wenatchee; Sharyn Cimildoro of Georgia; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a special nephew, Chester Venable of Haleiwa, HI. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 10, 1989, four brothers and two sisters. A Graveside Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Brewer officiating. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
