Born August 12, 1933 in Duncan, OK, Mrs. Altman was the daughter of the late Melvin Sheppeard and Velva Gamblin Sheppeard. She was a retired supervisor with Verizon and member of Bible Baptist Church. Her hobbies included gardening and pictures and she loved her family and trips back to Oklahoma. Survivors include her daughters Alicia Altman and Melissa Altman; her grandchildren, Christopher Owens (Leslie), Taryn Bates, Jerry Travis Polson, III, Kristin Bates, and Jaden Bates; her great-grandchildren, Lucas Serra and Allece Butler; her sister, Christine Fletcher; her brothers, Carlis Sheppeard (Yvonne) and Leon Sheppeard (Dorothy Gean); and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, August 30, 2019 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, officiated by Rev. Scott Altman and Rev. Danny Banks. Burial will follow in Eaddy-Ford Cemetery in Johnsonville, SC. The Goldfinch Funeral Home
