Eva F. (Fisher) Andres Libs, 90, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010. Eva was a loving and caring mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all she met. She was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and a past member of Daughters of Isabella, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and St. Mary of the Knobs Christian Mothers.

Eva F. (Fisher) Andres Libs, 90, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010. Eva was a loving and caring mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all she met. She was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and a past member of Daughters of Isabella, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and St. Mary of the Knobs Christian Mothers.
Eva was born on August 6, 1920 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Walter A. and Mary Eva Gay (Frederick) Fisher. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Ambrose "Boody" Andres and Arthur Libs; sons, Larry Andres and Donald Libs; sisters, Mary K. Stumler and Millie Stiller; twin sister, Neva Stiller; and brother, Walter Fisher, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Gehlbach and her husband Larry, Vernetta Gettelfinger, Bruce Andres, JoAnn Pendleton and her husband Ed, Robert Andres, Alice Volpert and her husband Steve, Robert Libs and his wife Carol, Dick Libs and his wife Betty, Jane Best and her husband Dave, Pat Hutt and her husband Frank, Linda Smith and her husband Dick, Cathy Boone and her husband Wayne, daughters-in-law, Retta Kelly and Bev Libs; sisters, Patsy Armstrong and her husband Bob, Phyllis Fouts, Sharon Stiner and her husband Jerry; brothers, Maurice Fisher and his wife Elenora and Eddie Fisher and his wife Deanna; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12 to 8 PM on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home (formerly Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) with a Rosary Service at 3 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday, September 20, 2010 at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
The family wishes to express its heartfelt appreciation to Autumn Woods Health Campus and Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services and to all who lovingly cared for Eva over the years.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church or to Mount St. Francis Center for Spirituality. |
