Her passing was attributed to puerperal infection, after undergoing a surgical operation and three blood transfusions, following childbirth. Her marriage to Walter Scheer of Winnetoon occurred on February 28, 1940. To this union a son, Jerry Dean, was born, now only a few weeks of age. The couple had been making their home with his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. William Scheer of Winnetoon. Relatives who mourn are her husband and infant son; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Raff; four brothers, Muriel, Malvin, Kenneth and Karl; five sisters, Fern, Vera, Dena, Velma and Delsie; grandfather, A. Raff; grandmother, Mrs. Haskin, father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. Scheer and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Christ Evangelical Lutheran church at Bazile Mills. Rev. Petersen officiated. The esteem of the deceased was evidenced by the large crowd of friends and acquaintances in attendance at the rites. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery. Pallbearers were Clarence and Everett Mecke, Fred Horstmann, Allan and Elmer Jensen and August Sedivy. ...The Creighton News 3 April 1941
