Born in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Lewie Oscar and Lelia Price. She was a housewife and devoted church worker. Her love was the First Baptist Church of Gilbert. Kathleen helped start First Baptist Church and was one of its original members. She was the oldest living member of the church and was active in all organizations, having taught Sunday School for over fifty years, a WMU leader and helped with any needs... Read More	In Memory of Eva Kathleen Harmon LEXINGTON - Kathleen Harmon, 97, of 3509 Two Notch Road, died Thursday, July 9, 2015. Born in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Lewie Oscar and Lelia Price. She was a housewife and devoted church worker. Her love was the First Baptist Church of Gilbert. Kathleen helped start First Baptist Church and was one of its original members. She was the oldest living member of the church and was active in all organizations, having taught Sunday School for over fifty years, a WMU leader and helped with any needs of the church family including giving transportation to and from church. She is survived by her children, Bobby (Kathy) Harmon, Gerald (Joan) Harmon, Charlie (Donna) Harmon, Mary (Kent) Ricard, daughter-in-law, Kathy Harmon, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Monroe Harmon, son, Richard Harmon, and granddaughter, Wendy Harmon. Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Gilbert with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Gilbert, 441 Lewie St., Gilbert, SC 29054. Published in The State on July 11, 2015
