She passed away at her home in Fairfield on June 30, 1929 at the age of eight years, eight months and two days. She suffered much before her death. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Ridgway and three brothers, Leland, Dale and Rolland. Mr. and Mrs. Hermon Boynton of Edgar are the grandparents of the little girl. She suffered much and intensely but never complained. Her sweet patient life has been a benediction to her loved ones and all the friends she has come in contact with. It makes us feel to say in the words of Chas. Wesley: "Wherefore should I make my moan, Now the darling child is dead? Her to rest is early gone, Her to paradise is fled. I shall go to her, but she Never shall return to me, God forbids her longer stay, God recalls His precious loan. He hath taken her away From my bosom to His own. Surely what He wills is best: Happy in His will I rest. Faith cries out 'It is the Lord' Let Him do what seems Him good Be thy Holy name adored, Take the gift a while bestowed, Take the child no longer mine; Thine she is forever thine". The funeral was held from the M. E. Church in Edgar, Nebraska, Tuesday, July 2 at 2:30. Rev Fred H. Johnson, pastor of the church, officiated. Interment was made in the Edgar Cemetery.
