Description	:	Eva Maria Barbara Heinlein was born in Bavaria Germany, and married in Lichtenau Germany on Nov 28, 1865. Boxbrunn was a very small place with only nine houses. Maria Barbara (sometimes called Mariby) and Ernest had five chidren. Anna Margareta b. 1868, a child who died in Germany, Maria Barbara (Bertha) b. 1878, and two boys Johann Simon b. 1881, and Lenhard Johann b. 1882. When the two boys, reached the age of 13 and 14, the German army was beginning to mobilize, and it was apparent that the two sons would have to take military training. So the family sold their farm and paid 600 marks for the trip to the United States. The family (Ernest, Maria, two girls and two boys) arrived in New York on March 21 1895 on the ship Lahn from Bremen and traveled to Colorado. Maria Barbara was crippled by arthritis in her later years. Wet Mountain Tribune, Westcliffe, Colorado March 29, 1918 Obituary Mary Barbara Schwab died on Thursday last at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Figge in Silver Cliff, after an illness of many years, at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 22 days. The deceased was born in Bocksbrum, Bavaria, Germany. She was a member of the Lutheran church and was married in 1865 in her native country. On account of Mrs. Schwab's ill health, they moved to America and settled in Huerfano county, this state, where they resided for 17 years, later coming to Silver Cliff, where Mr. Schwab died six years ago. During Mrs. Schwab's long illness she bore up with great fortitude and was ever grateful for pleasant words and deeds of kindness. She leaves four children to mourn her absence: Mrs. Margaret Green at Weiser, Idaho; Mrs. John Figge at Silver Cliff; John Schwab at Walsenburg and Leonard Schwab at Laramie, Wyo. Services were held at the Figge home in Silver Cliff and at the Lutheran church, Rev. John Reininga officiating. Burial in Silver Cliff cemetery.
