Description	:	Eva Marie Christensen, 94, of St. Paul died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Heritage Living Center in St. Paul. Eva Marie was born April 13, 1916, at St. Paul to John and Elvina (Jensen) Rojewski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Christensen, in 1989, and a son, John 'Jack' Christensen. Survivors are: sons, Roger Christensen and Terry Christensen, both of Grand Island; daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Eldon Mock of Holbrook, Kathleen Barwald of St. Joseph and Kristine and Rod Dell of Alliance; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; brother and... Read More	Eva Marie Christensen, 94, of St. Paul died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Heritage Living Center in St. Paul. Eva Marie was born April 13, 1916, at St. Paul to John and Elvina (Jensen) Rojewski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Christensen, in 1989, and a son, John 'Jack' Christensen. Survivors are: sons, Roger Christensen and Terry Christensen, both of Grand Island; daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Eldon Mock of Holbrook, Kathleen Barwald of St. Joseph and Kristine and Rod Dell of Alliance; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; brother and sister-in-law, Jens 'Jim' and Jan Rojewski of Alma; sister, Phyllis Woodward of Omaha; and sister-in-law, Luella Christensen of Chadron. She attended school at St. Paul. The family moved to Ogallala and lived for one year and then returned to St. Paul. Marie graduated from St. Paul High School in 1934. Marie worked as a Telephone Operator and also as a Theater Usher. She was united in marriage to Arnold Christensen on Sept. 16, 1940, at St. Paul. To this union six children were born. Marie worked as a clerk at Brehm Rexall Drug Store in St. Paul until retirement. She was also a mom working at home and taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in St. Paul, the Extension Club and also a Cub Scouts Den Mother, Boy Scouts Leader, and Girl Scout Leader. Marie enjoyed crafts, quilting, embroidering and latch-hooking. She also loved to read and enjoyed her coffee group. Her top priorities were being a mom and grandmother. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Scott Mock and a brother, John 'Bud' Rojewski. Published in The Grand Island Independent on 7/13/2010
