She was a native of Clark County and a member of Secular Franciscans, St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and the Senior Citizens of the church. Survivors include five sons, Arthur Banet of St. Petersburg, Fla., Bernard and T. J. Banet, both of New Albany, and Irvin and Odell Banet; two daughters, Amelia Leist of New Albany and Marietta Gesenhues; 44 grandchildren; 101 great-grandchildren; and 40 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Kraft Funeral Home from 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. tomorrow. Prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may go to New Albany Deanery Catholic Charities or Mount St. Francis Retreat Center.
