M'MARTIN DIES, CALIFORNIA Massena - Relatives and friends here have been notified of the death of Mrs. A. I. McMartin at Long Beach, California, September 22. Born Eva B. Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Moore on a Victoria township farm, she was for several years a rural teacher and also taught in the Massena town schools. She was married to A. I. McMartin, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her were two sisters, Mrs. Ida White and Mrs. Etta Fisher of Earlham and a brother, Frank Moore, formerly of Corning. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Inez Cotton, of Long Beach. The family moved to California about 30 years ago. The body has been cremated and the ashes will later be shipped to Massena for interment in the Moore family plot in Victoria township. - - - - Mrs. Eva B. McMartin, 82, of 10 Atlantic Avenue, died Sunday in Long Beach Hospital. She was a native of Iowa and resided in Omaha, Nebraska for several years before coming to Long Beach in 1918. She was a graduate of Iowa Sate Teachers College, Cedar Falls. She was a member of the Congregational Church, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are a sister, Inez L. Cotton of Long Beach; two nieces and three nephews including Alvin Moore of LaCrescentia, California. Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Interment will be in Victoria Cemetery, Massena, Iowa.
