Description	:	Mrs. Eva Odell Freeman Rogers, the widow of Lemont "Buddy" Rogers, passed away at the age of 92 on Monday, September 2, 2013, at Dundee Manor Nursing Home in Bennettsville, SC, following an extended illness. Mrs. Rogers was born in Williamsburg County on August 19, 1921, daughter of the late Eva Corine McCants Freeman and the late John E. Freeman. She was a graduate of Williamsburg High School and retired from K-Mart Corporation. Mrs. Rogers was born in Williamsburg County on August 19, 1921, daughter of the late Eva Corine McCants Freeman and the late John E. Freeman. She was a graduate of Williamsburg High School and retired from K-Mart Corporation. She was a member of Vareenes Heights Baptist Church in Anderson, SC, and enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She is survived by her three sons: Lemont (Betty) Rogers, Jr. of Bennettsville, SC, Wayne (Judy) Rogers of Newnan, GA, and Terry (Vicki) Rogers of Eden, NC; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and three sisters in law, Betty Freeman of Georgetown, Janie Bushardt of Florence, and Margaret Daniel of Florence. Mrs. Rogers was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and three brothers; Heyward A. Freeman, US Army Sergeant John Rutherford Freeman, and Myrl E. Freeman. She was also predeceased by a grandchild, Kathy Lynn Rogers. Morris Funeral Home in Hemingway, SC, will direct the funeral services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 5, and funeral services will follow in the chapel at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1760 Pope Road, Hemingway, SC 29554.
