She served as telephone operator for the Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Company at Seward, Garland, and other communities for 35 years. She was switchboard operator for the University of Nebraska for 10 years. She was a member of the Congregational Church in Lincoln and of the Royal Neighbors of America.
