Description	:	Evalina (Eva) Dowell passed away at the McKinley Memorial Hospital on Saturday morning, March 25. She was born on January 29, 1889 at Weston, Oregon, and at the age of three years moved to Dyer Hill with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Greenaway, where they homesteaded. When a teenager she moved to Albion, Wash., and there met Lester Dowell, whom she married at Lewiston, Idaho, in 1907. In 1916 they moved to the reservation, where they homesteaded for three years. They moved to Carlton in 1919, where they owned an apple orchard, and then moved back to Brewster in 1922.... When a teenager she moved to Albion, Wash., and there met Lester Dowell, whom she married at Lewiston, Idaho, in 1907. In 1916 they moved to the reservation, where they homesteaded for three years. At the beginning of World War II they moved to the coast, where they planned to retire, but the returned to Brewster after a few years, as they were lonesome for their children. Preceding her in death were two brothers, William J and Alexander H Greenaway; four sisters, Annie Laurie Miller, Mary Edith Greenaway, Eliza Addie Garland and Minnie Gates; one granddaughter, Eva Lou Dowell; one grandson, Kennthe Lester Dowell. She is survived by her husband, Lester; four sons, Clyde A. of Spokane; Lester R. and Seth (Buzzy) of Bridgeport; and Kenneth of Wenatchee; two daughters, Emily Morris of Bridgeport and Alberta Thrapp of Brewster. Two sisters, Emily May Fowler of Tacoma and Nellie De Ette Byers of Chesaw; one brother, Alfred Greenaway of Tonasket.
