Description	:	FARMINGTON - Evelyn Banister of Farmington passed away on October 27, 2005, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, at the age of 82 years. She was born on February 2, 1923, in Elvins the daughter of the late Dewey and Alma Stacy McDowell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Banister; a brother, Ralph "Bud" McDowell, and a niece, Jane Ellen Ratley. Mrs. Banister was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington where she was a member of the adult choir and involved in a variety of church activities. She enjoyed her home and family... Read More	FARMINGTON - Evelyn Banister of Farmington passed away on October 27, 2005, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, at the age of 82 years. She was born on February 2, 1923, in Elvins the daughter of the late Dewey and Alma Stacy McDowell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Banister; a brother, Ralph "Bud" McDowell, and a niece, Jane Ellen Ratley. Mrs. Banister was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington where she was a member of the adult choir and involved in a variety of church activities. She enjoyed her home and family and "everything cute." She is survived by a son, Anthony Banister; a daughter, Angela Hahn; special granddaughter, Natalie Bannister all of Farmington; a brother, Jay McDowell of Charlotte, North Carolina, and a sister, Jean Ratley, of Desloge. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends also survive. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2005. Visitation on Monday will be from 7:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the First Baptist Church of Farmington with Dr. William Miller officiating. Burial will be at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Farmington Educational Foundation.
