Description	:	My Mother was the eldest child or Henry and Alma Dibbern Suiter who are buried in the Galva Cemetery at Galva, Iowa. My Mom was 4 years old when her Dad died in the 1918 flu epidemic. She was born April 8, 1914 in Galva. Her sister, Lois Suiter Currie was born on 7/15/1915 and died 4/8/2005 and is buried in a burial plot next to my parents. Her sister, Mildred Suiter Anderson, was born 1/6/1917 and died 11/30/2003 in Alabama but has never been interred. Her brother, Walter H. Suiter, was born 10/11/1918 (he was six weeks old when his... Growing up was not easy for these children and my Grandmother. My Uncle, Walter (we always called him "Bud" told my cousin that they usually only had meat when he could afford to buy shotgun shells and then he could only buy a few at a time. My Grandmother always resented it that she did not get to go to school past the 8th Grade. She eventually moved to Omaha to find work and I know that my Mom, Mildred and Bud all lived in Omaha as well.
