Description	:	Evelyn C. Sargent, age 85, of Clinton, died Monday August 11, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in DeWitt. Evelyn was born on July 2, 1923, in Monmouth, IA, the daughter of George and Delia (Britt) Crowley. She graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1941. Evelyn is survived by her three daughters, Kathleen (Keith) Williams of Grand Prairie, TX, Patricia (Brett) Muehleip of Shullsburg, WI, and Mary Jo (Hank) Haas of Dubuque, IA; three grandsons, Jason Smith, Scott Gano, and Henry Haas; two great-grandchildren, Tak Smith and Bailey Smith; a brother, Lawrence “Ed” Crowley of Clinton; and two sisters, Teresa Jepsen of Clinton and Bernie (Jerry) Stratman of Cypress, CA.
