Description	:	Evelyn F. Ducker, 91, of Waverly, Iowa, died on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly. Evelyn was born on May 28, 1920, in Crookston, Minnesota, the daughter of Axel and Ottilie Ida (Woelk) Jensen. She was baptized in June of 1920 and confirmed on December 4, 1938. She graduated from Waverly High School in 1938. She was united in marriage to Clarence H. Ducker on April 22, 1950 in St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua. Ducker, 91, of Waverly, Iowa, died on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly. Evelyn was born on May 28, 1920, in Crookston, Minnesota, the daughter of Axel and Ottilie Ida (Woelk) Jensen. She was baptized in June of 1920 and confirmed on December 4, 1938. She graduated from Waverly High School in 1938. She was united in marriage to Clarence H. Ducker on April 22, 1950 in St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua. The couple lived on a farm southeast of Waverly. Evelyn taught for 18 years in country schools, and later with the Denver Schools, for a total of 47 years. Clarence died on August 9, 1980. Evelyn was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She traveled with her family on numerous trips. She loved the outdoors and spent many hours fishing with her family. She will always be remembered for her catchy phrase "Fishy, Fishy in the brook, Fishy, Fishy on my hook" Evelyn is survived by her nephew, Michael Dempsey of Waverly, Iowa and his special friend, Wilma Sola, great nieces and nephews, Karlene Hummel, Kirk Dempsey, Kevin Dempsey, Sherrie Newman, and Laura Schmitt, 9 great-great nieces and nephews and her great-great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence, two sisters, Dorothy Jensen and Verna Dempsey, and one nephew, Robert Dempsey. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly with Pastor Curt Schneider officiating. Burial will be held in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly. Visitation will be held an hour before services on Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Hospice, Waverly
