This census says Evaline was born in Illinois. In April 1910 William J. Harris (54) wife, Rosie (38), their children; Bertha L. (15), Arlie (14), Maudie (10), William P. (8), Carrie (5), and "step-daughter", Evelyn Adams (17) lived in St. John's Ward 2, Multnomah County, Oregon. It appears Rosie is Evelyn's mother. She's been married to William J. Harris for 17 yrs.. Since Evelyn is 17 in this census and listed as William's step-daughter, that means Evelyn's father left or died the year she was born. Rosie has given birth to 6 children/6 living, so that would indicate Rosie is the mother of all children listed in 1910 census, including Evelyn.
