She died Friday, February 14, 2014, in Lake Jackson, Brazoria County, Texas, at the age of 90 years, 2 months, and 28 days. She had ived in Lake Jackson, TX, for the last 16 years with her niece, Donna Baker Faickney and her family. Prior to moving to Texas, Mrs. Brockman lived in Columbia, KY with her husband at residences in the Jones-Wright and later on Lampton Lane, with her beloved husband, Gaspard Brockman, until his death. Together, they operated Columbia General Appliances on the Square in Downtown Columbia for several decades. She was known as a hard worker and an avid outdoor person. He loved fishing, walking and enjoying the sunshine. She loved dogs and always had a dog by her side. She loved ot cook and really liked being part of the Faickney family because she was able to care for her two great nephews. She is survived by the following: Two sisters: Mildred Baker, Lake Jackson, TX; and Doris Knape, Alvin, TX One brother: Earl Jeffries, Leonard, Texas Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
