Description	:	Evelyn L. Lacy Seymour-Saferite passed away on Friday July 18, 2014. Celebration of her life will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday July 23 at the First Christian Church. She was born June 20, 1930, the daughter of Edgar Earl and Muriel Eva Pugh Lacy. She spent the first 16 years of her life on the family farm East of Eureka. She attended the Union District grade school and the Tonovay High School, and she moved into Eureka in 1946. Lacy Seymour-Saferite passed away on Friday July 18, 2014. Celebration of her life will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday July 23 at the First Christian Church. She was born June 20, 1930, the daughter of Edgar Earl and Muriel Eva Pugh Lacy. She spent the first 16 years of her life on the family farm East of Eureka. She attended the Union District grade school and the Tonovay High School, and she moved into Eureka in 1946. She married Harold Edward (Eddie) Seymour on July 28, 1948, and to this marriage three sons were born. Eddie was killed in an oil field accident on May 26, 1965.Evelyn married Robert L. (Bob) Saferite on October 31, 1965, and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2009. Bob took his five children and Evelyn took her three sons, and blended them together in a family unit affectionately referred to as S Troop. After raising all the children, Evelyn worked for 18 years as a chiropractic assistant for Dr. Harry Thomas. After retiring, Evelyn and Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and traveling. Evelyn is survived by her sons Steve Seymour, Stan (Jan) Seymour, and Brad (Brenda) Seymour, Jeff (Carol) Saferite, and her daughters Jamie (Ed) Webb, Jodie (Leon) Leachman, and Jaryl (Mike) Demel; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Earl and Lavern and a son, Buster Saferite. Memorials have been established with the First Christian Church or the Alzheimer Association.
