Description	:	Evelyn L. Hagemeier, 88 years of age, of Beatrice, Nebraska, died at the Parkview Care Center on Friday morning, January 14, 2005. She was born on July l, 1916 at rural Filley, Nebraska and attended Sunny Slope Country School near Filley. She married Harvey F.W. Hagemeier on October 18, 1936 at the Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell, Nebraska and they lived in Beatrice and Pickrell before moving to a farm northwest of Beatrice. She was born on July l, 1916 at rural Filley, Nebraska and attended Sunny Slope Country School near Filley. She married Harvey F.W. Hagemeier on October 18, 1936 at the Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell, Nebraska and they lived in Beatrice and Pickrell before moving to a farm northwest of Beatrice. They lived on the farm until retiring and moving into Beatrice in 1976. She was a former member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church (Soap Creek) of rural DeWitt and was currently a member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice. She was a member of the Rebecca Circle, quilting ladies, and blanket sewing group. She had also served as the hospitality chairman for the church. She was a member of the Lions Ladies and enjoyed being with her family and friends, quilting and sewing, playing cards, gardening, cooking, canning and reading. She also did alterations for several Beatrice clothing stores. Survivors include two sons, Larry Hagemeier and his wife Dayna of Juniata, Nebraska and Robert (Bob) Hagemeier of Beatrice, Nebraska. Three daughters Marjorie Hartig and her husband Kenneth and Norma Maschmeier and her husband Ron all of Beatrice, Nebraska and Mary Cox of Lincoln, Nebraska. 14 grandchildren Jeff Hartig and his wife Loraine, Jim Hartig and his wife Cindy, John Hartig and his wife Cally, Dan Hagemeier, Ronda Melander and her husband Ken, Amy Sealy and her husband Russ, Tim Hagemeier and his wife Stephanie, Larry Maschmeier, Steve Maschmeier, Kerry Hagemeier, Jessie Hagemeier, Jamie Hagemeier, Paul Cox and Erin Cox. 14 great-grandchildren. One brother Ernest Schuster of Beatrice, Nebraska. Three sisters, Alvina Lienemann of Beatrice, Nebraska, Abbie Gray and her husband Harry of Sun City, California, and Viola Dissmeyer and her husband Harvey of Kansas City, Kansas. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Mary Meints Schuster, her husband Harvey who died on July 4, 1995, one son Donald who died on August 22, 1992, daughter-in-law Gladys Hagemeier who died August 4, 1996, one granddaughter Lisa Hinrichs who died May 12, 1991, one grandson Jared Hagemeier who died October 2, 2004, one brother Arnold Schuster, an infant sister Clara and sister Frieda Siefkes who died September 28, 2001. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice, Nebraska, with Pastor David Kramer and Pastor Joann Kramer officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice, Nebraska. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. Tuesday in the chapel of the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the family’s choice with Orlalee and Karen Zimmerman in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. Saturday until 9:00 P.M. Monday and then at the church one hour preceding the service on Tuesday. A guestbook for signatures and messages of condolence is also available online at www.foxfuneralhome.com. Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
