Description	:	Evelyn Louise (Trummel) Helm was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world suddenly on Thurs. April 29, 2021 at the age of 98 years. She was born in Wilmore, Ks. the daughter to Orda Franklin and Ethel Maude (Baker) Trummel on Nov. 1, 1922. She married Louis Helm and together they had 3 children, Virginia, Carolyn and Julia. Read More	Evelyn Louise (Trummel) Helm was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world suddenly on Thurs. April 29, 2021 at the age of 98 years. She was born in Wilmore, Ks. the daughter to Orda Franklin and Ethel Maude (Baker) Trummel on Nov. 1, 1922. She married Louis Helm and together they had 3 children, Virginia, Carolyn and Julia. She maintained the household and took care of her children. Later, she moved to Dodge City where she worked different jobs from waitressing to cleaning until her retirement. Evelyn loved spending time in the kitchen and with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren was her pride and joy. She liked keeping up with politics and feeding the birds outside her apartment. She enjoyed telling stories from her childhood, especially growing up on the farm. She always joked that she would live to be 100 and laughed at all the history she had already lived through. Sadly, she did not make it to 100, but she lived 98 wonderful years. Those who knew her, loved her. Evelyn was respected by all who knew her. She always seemed to think of others before herself. She is now in a better place watching down on all of us. Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Virginia and Julia. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and a daughter, Carolyn. A short graveside ceremony was held on Sat. May 8, 2021 at 10:30 AM at the Wilmore Cemetery followed by a dinner. Cremation took place. Arrangements by Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, KS.
