Description	:	Evelyn Louise Johnson, 62, of Hedrick died in an automobile accident near Fremont on Oct. 26, 1987. She was born Jan. 20, 1925, in Oskaloosa to Lewis and Eva Storm Westercamp. She was a 1942 graduate of Hedrick High School. After obtaining her teaching certificate from Parsons College in Fairfield, she taught in three country schools. In 1957, she went to work for her husband as secretary of Johnson Oil Company in Hedrick, and worked there until 1969, when she started teaching in the Hedrick school system. She was born Jan. 20, 1925, in Oskaloosa to Lewis and Eva Storm Westercamp. She was a 1942 graduate of Hedrick High School. After obtaining her teaching certificate from Parsons College in Fairfield, she taught in three country schools. In 1957, she went to work for her husband as secretary of Johnson Oil Company in Hedrick, and worked there until 1969, when she started teaching in the Hedrick school system. She was the fourth-grade teacher in the elementary school. She received her B A. degree from William Penn College in 1980, and is a member of the former Hedrick Presbyterian Church, the Hedrick Education Association, and the Iowa State Education Association, and was a former member of the Hedrick/Ollie Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She married Loren A. Johnson Dec. I, 1946, in Hedrick. She is survived by her husband; three sons, David of Hedrick, Daniel of Ames and Russell of Iowa City; two daughters, Anne Harris of Wilmington, Del., and Miriam Johnson of Hamilton, Ill.; six grandchildren; her parents, Lewis and Eva Westercamp of Sigourney; two brothers, Dwight Westercamp of Fairfield, and Dwayne Westercamp of Omaha, Neb.; and five sisters, Dorothy Krimbrell of Camp Faraday, Ariz., Donna Walden of Harper, Martha June Thompson of Hancock, Betty Johnson of Montezuma and Ruth Martin of Waterloo. The service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hedrick school gymnasium, the Rev. Harold Martin of Waterloo officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery at Ottumwa.
