Description	:	Evelyn Matilda Farmer, 86 of St. Edward, NE, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Cloverlodge Care Center in St. Edward. Evelyn the daughter of Oscar "Dick" & Ella (Schoening) Tschudin, was born April 22, 1925 at Belgrade, NE. Evelyn attended school in Cedar Rapids graduating from Cedar Rapids High School in 1942. Read More	Evelyn Matilda Farmer, 86 of St. Edward, NE, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Cloverlodge Care Center in St. Edward. Evelyn the daughter of Oscar "Dick" & Ella (Schoening) Tschudin, was born April 22, 1925 at Belgrade, NE. Evelyn attended school in Cedar Rapids graduating from Cedar Rapids High School in 1942. Following graduation, Evelyn moved to Washington state where she lived with an aunt while working in a bakery. She later moved back to Cedar Rapids and met her future husband. On August 29, 1945, Evelyn was united in marriage to Dillard "Pic" Farmer in Cedar Rapids, NE. The couple made their home in Cedar Rapids where Evelyn was a housewife and devoted mother. During the 1980's she co-owned and operated a ceramic shop in Primrose, NE with her daughter Audrey. Evelyn was a member of the Cedar Rapids Methodist Church. She was also a DDC member in good standing. Surviving Evelyn are: children: Audrey Winkel and husband Dave of Belgrade, Brad Farmer and wife Theresa of Omaha and Cindy Morisch and husband Lee of Belgrade; 9 grandchildren; 2 step-grand children; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; sisters: Velma (Dave) Krings of Cedar Rapids and Ila Mae Bulow of Grand Island, and a host of relatives and friends. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dillard "Pic" Farmer and a brother, Arlow Tschudin. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, NE.
