Description	:	Daughter of Leo & Agnes (Wichman) Oetter in rural Norfolk, NE. She was baptized September 27 1925 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Norfolk and confirmed on June 4 1925 at Grace Lutheran Church in Norfolk, NE. Evelyn attended District 37 rural grade school and graduated from Norfolk High School in 1943. After graduating, she worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Rapid City, SD. as well as the Norfolk Office as a telephone operator for 9 years. On September 25-1952, she married Lester Kleensang of rural Hoskins, NE. and they spent the next 36 years enjoying farming life.... They still enjoyed keeping in touch with the farming way of life, as well as enjoying time with close friends and old neighbors. After Lester's death in 1993, Evelyn did volunteer work by helping the Christ Lutheran Braille Workers, as well as helping at St. Johns Church by making quilts, helping at funerals and cooking for volunteer for Good Neighbors. Evelyn enjoyed helping her son, Lonnie keep up the family farm, spending time with him while he was working in the garage or in the backyard. She also enjoyed cooking with her daughter-in-law Clare at the family dinners. She is survived by her son Lonnie and his wife Clare Kleensang of Norfolk NE. sister in laws Eileen Meyer of Randolph NE, Rev. Nicki McIntyre of Scribner and Jeanne Lewis of Scottsbluff.
