MILLER, 85, Columbia City, died at 6:18 p.m. Saturday at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, where she was a patient two weeks. Born near Akron to Odie Merl and Nona Van LUE KEESEY, she married Donald R. MILLER June 13, 1936. He survives. Mrs. Miller graduated from Akron High School in 1934 and worked at the Hotel Akron. She was a seamstress and housekeeper. She moved from Rochester to Columbia City in 1946. She assisted her husband in operation of Railway Express Agency, Columbia City, and moved to Loon Lake, near Columbia City, following retirement. She was a member of Methodist Church, Columbia City Order of the Eastern Star 65, where she was worthy matron two terms and was district deputy of the grand chapter. Surviving with her husband, at home, are two sons, Edward J. [MILLER] and wife Barbara, Angola, Daniel R. [MILLER], Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Tom, Brad and Steve MILLER, Kara WHITE and Julie YOUNT; nine great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mable F. BABER, Denver, Kathryn L. BARKER, Peru, Ruby I. CUMBERLAND, Carolyn Sue SMITH and Janet M. WHITE, all of Rochester, and Patricia G. STANSBURY, Chicago, Ill. Preceding in death were one daughter, Linda Sue WHITE, June 20, 1977, three brothers, Frederick, Raymond and Robert KEESEY, and two sisters, Doris ELLIS and Helen PUTTERBAUGH. Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial and committal service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Columbia City Order of the Eastern Star 65 will conduct a twilight service at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
