Description	:	Evelyn M. Flatten, 87, a longtime Wenatchee Valley resident, died Sunday morning, Jan. 31, 1999 at her daughter's East Wenatchee residence with her loving family at her side. She was born June 30, 1911 in Faulk County, SD. On April 17, 1929, she married Otto Flatten in Huron, SD. They made their home in Minneapolis, MN until moving to Bremerton in 1940. In 1946, they moved to Wenatchee where they lived until returning to Bremerton in March of 1961. Flatten, 87, a longtime Wenatchee Valley resident, died Sunday morning, Jan. 31, 1999 at her daughter's East Wenatchee residence with her loving family at her side. She was born June 30, 1911 in Faulk County, SD. On April 17, 1929, she married Otto Flatten in Huron, SD. They made their home in Minneapolis, MN until moving to Bremerton in 1940. In 1946, they moved to Wenatchee where they lived until returning to Bremerton in March of 1961. Following Mr. Flatten's retiring from the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in 1969, they returned to the Wenatchee Valley where she had since lived. She was a member of Celebration Lutheran Church, and a Charter Member of the Sons of Norway, Epledalen Lodge, No. 96, Wenatchee. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Roger Case, East Wenatchee; their children, Jon and Dawn Turner and their children, Ryan Ellison and Trent Turner, all of East Wenatchee, and grandchildren, Darin and Carolee Case and their daughter, Kayla Case, all of East Wenatchee. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972, and one daughter, Teri. Funeral services will be held at Telford's Chapel of the Valley, Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Dave Haven officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The casket will remain closed at all times. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Celebration Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or Central Washington Hospital Hospice Program. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
