Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Doctor Talmadge Allison, Sr. and daughter of the late Belton Fowler and Mollie Callahan Fowler. She retired from Road King Restaurant and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She loved her family, gardening, flowers, and ceramics and was a good homemaker. Surviving is a son, Ray Poole (Patsy) of Gaffney; a stepson, Doc Allison, Jr. of Gaffney; two stepdaughters, Joyce Deal of Gaffney and Patsy Whitesides of Clover; a sister, Marjorie Boardman of Bourbon, IN; three grandchildren, Robert Poole, David Poole, and Carla Spurlin; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Steve Poole, a grandson, Carlton Poole, three sisters, Aleene Fowler, Regania Fowler and Garnett Cowan, and two brothers, Larry Styres and J. B. Fowler, Jr. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Dr. Ray St. John officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1792, Gaffney, SC 29342. The family will be at their respective homes.
