Description	:	PALMER — Evelyn Snodgrass, 86, of Palmer died Friday, June 17, 2016, at Brookefield Park in St. Paul. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wesleyan Church in Palmer. The Rev. Joseph Cissell will officiate. Interment will be in Pierce Chapel Cemetery near Clarks. Greenway Funeral Home in Palmer is in charge of arrangements. Evelyn was born Dec. 16, 1929, in Merrick County to Archie and Esther (Garrett) Snodgrass. She attended country school in Merrick County northeast of Palmer. Evelyn lived in Palmer until July 2012, when she moved to the former Heritage Living Center and then to Brookefield Park in St. Paul. Evelyn enjoyed crocheting dollies for weddings and birthdays. She crocheted jackets and blankets for babies of family members. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Palmer, where she would sing solos and duets with her sister, Lois. She also served as Sunday School secretary and did some cleaning in the church. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Jim Christy of Divide, Colo., and special friends Cheryl and Lonnie Eckstrom and Marcy Santin, all of Palmer. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lois Snodgrass.
