Description	:	Evelyn, the daughter of Royal L. and Maude Evelyn (Parrish) Waltz, was a native of Hanford. She attended Lemoore High School. After attending what was then Fresno State College, she received a lifetime teaching credential and taught third grade at Mussel Slough School for some 12 years. During that time she met John Hanse at the local Grange. They were married in 1936 and she joined him in farming at their 14th Avenue farm. During that time she met John Hanse at the local Grange. They were married in 1936 and she joined him in farming at their 14th Avenue farm. Evelyn was active in the First United Methodist Church where she enjoyed the Women's Society of Christian Service and taught Sunday School. She was active as a 4-H Club leader and in the Home Department. She loved to share time with her family and enjoyed children. Her grandfather was a minister and helped to build the Grangeville church. She was survived by her sons, Peter, David and Donald, and a daughter, Patricia Verheul. She was 89 years old.
