Description	:	AYDEN - Evelyn Dudley passed away December 26, 2017 as a resident at Spring Arbor for the last few months. Evelyn attended Ayden schools and resided in Ayden all of her life. She worked in the lab at DuPont for 32 years. Evelyn was a member of First Baptist Church in Ayden and had attended there since she was a little girl. She remembers one of her older brothers getting up early on Sunday mornings to light the coal stove to get the building warm in the winter months. She sang in the church choir for many years and was... Read More	AYDEN - Evelyn Dudley passed away December 26, 2017 as a resident at Spring Arbor for the last few months. Evelyn attended Ayden schools and resided in Ayden all of her life. She worked in the lab at DuPont for 32 years. Evelyn was a member of First Baptist Church in Ayden and had attended there since she was a little girl. She remembers one of her older brothers getting up early on Sunday mornings to light the coal stove to get the building warm in the winter months. She sang in the church choir for many years and was very dedicated and faithful to serve in any way she was needed. Mama read her bible every morning before doing anything else. She has written in the front of her bible the dates she would start reading it again. She was on her 20th reading of the bible before she became unable to continue. She loved the Lord and her church family very much. Mama was so good to our family and loved us very much. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed providing for her family. She was always putting others first and herself last. We were so blessed the Lord gave us such a special child of his to be our mother. Evelyn and Lindsey were married on September 13th (a Friday) in 1957. Lindsey passed away in 2009. She is survived by her son Randall Mozingo of the home and her daughter Jackie Bray and husband Matt of Kernersville. A very special thanks to Brenda Gilliam for all of her love and dedication she gave to our sweet mama. Mama's advice would be to take "one day at a time", read your bible, love each other, but most importantly, love the Lord. Flowers are welcome or donations to First Baptist Church of Ayden, in her honor, would make mama's heart smile. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Farmer Funeral Service-Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1-2pm. Interment will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park in Greenville. Online condolences can be sent to farmerfuneralservice.com.
