Description	:	Memorial services for Even Evenson, 85, of Willamina, Ore., and formerly from Valley City will be at 2 p.m. Monday, December 18 at the Peterson-Olson Funeral Home with Rev. John Rotto officiating. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery. Mr. Evenson died Sunday in Oregon and funeral services will be conducted there on Thursday, December 14. Even Evenson was born June 2, 1882, in Boyd, Minn. As a young man he came to Barnes County. He was married to Magda Olstad July 20, 1914 at Fargo. The couple farmed south of Valley City until 1930 when they moved to Valley City where Mr. Evenson was employed by the Russell-Miller Milling Company. Following Mrs. Evenson's death in 1945, he moved to Oregon where he has resided since. He leaves four sons, Ted in Minnesota, Gordon of Willamina, Ore., Raymond of Shreaveport, La.; and Lloyd of Albany, Ore.; five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Arlene) Colton, Mrs. Ralph (Marion) Johnson and Mrs. Fred (Ardith) Johnson, all of Willamina; Mrs. Leslie (Frances) Bachhus of Newberg, Ore.; and Mrs. Paul (joyce) Baily, of Lebonan, Ore.; four brothers, Martin of Valley City; Alfred and Peter, both of Dawson, Minn.; and Carl of Boyd, Minn.; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Evenson was a brother-in-law of Edwin Olstad of Kathryn, Mrs. Oscar (Lillian) Langemo of Fingal and Mrs. Kelly (Helen) Linder of Valley City.
