Description	:	Mrs. Peter Leenhouts passed on at her home south of Alton Sunday, March 6th, shortly after noon. She was in her usual health until Friday night when was was taken ill and failed rapidly, her death coming as a sad shock to family and friends. Dena Geurink was born in Holland March 1, 1875, and was 57 years and 5 days of age at the time of her death. Read More	Mrs. Peter Leenhouts passed on at her home south of Alton Sunday, March 6th, shortly after noon. Dena Geurink was born in Holland March 1, 1875, and was 57 years and 5 days of age at the time of her death. She came to this country when a small child with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Evert Geurink, who settled on a a farm in this county. She was married in 1895 to Peter Leenhouts. One child was born to them, Josephine, who later became Mrs. Joe Aberson. Mrs. Aberson died six years ago and since her death her youngest child, Peter Aberson, now six years old, has been cared for by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leenhouts. Mrs. Leenhouts is survived by her husband, two brothers and one sister, Wm Geurink of Orange City. Dick Geurink of Byron Center, Mich., and Mrs. John Rensink of Sheldon. Another brother, Henry Guerink, died about a year ago. Mr. and Mrs. Rensink and children of Sheldon and Jake Baker of Doon came for the funeral services, which were held at the home and at the First Reformed Church on Tuesday afternoon.l Rev. Euwema was in charge of the services and spoke both in the Holland and English languages. Mrs. Leenhouts was a woman of splendid qualities, devoted to her family and loyal to her friends.
