Description	:	Everett G. Myers, 77, of Cairo, died Saturday, November 5, 1988 at Grand Island. Services were Tuesday Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island. The Rev. Lew Kaye Skinner officiated. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Mr. Myers was born, November 13, 1910, on a farm near Cairo, the son of Louis and Lena Hargens Myers. Mr. Myers was born, November 13, 1910, on a farm near Cairo, the son of Louis and Lena Hargens Myers. He grew up in the Cairo area, graduated from Cairo High School in 1928 and graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1932. Mr. Myers then entered the cattle business with his father and brother. He married Lucille Schuett on January 20, 1937, at Lexington. He was in the Myers family's cattle business all his working career. At the time of his death he was in partnership with his son. He was a member of the Cairo United Methodist Church. He had served on the rural school board and had been a member of the Elks Lodge and Liederkranz Society, both in Grand Island. Mr. Myers was known locally for his interest in base baseball and other sports. Survivors include his wife; a son of Cairo; a daughter, of Boelus, his mother of Cairo, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a sister, of Cairo. He was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin and a grandchild.
