The Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Seye was held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, May 6, 1999, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Brooklyn. Rev. Richard Okumu officiated and the organist was Marilyn Kriegel. Casket-Bearers were Charles Hawkins, John Hawkins, James Hawkins, Mark Hawkins, Matthew Hawkins, and David Hawkins. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn. A Rosary service was held at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, at the Nevenhoven Funeral Home, Brooklyn. A memorial fund has been established. Everett John Seye, son of William Seye and Mary DeSutter Seye, was born February 20, 1929, at Victor, Iowa. Everett received his education in a rural school. On September 8, 1948, he was married to Patricia Ann LaKose in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brooklyn. When they were married they moved to their present home where they farmed for twenty five years. Since Everett has been a livestock hauler. Everett was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He enjoyed the most working, hauling livestock and being around people. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. Surviving are his wife, Patricia; two daughters and a son, Martha Seye of Grinnell, Jane Bazyn and her husband, Richard, of Victor, and John Seye of Brooklyn; one brother, Robert Seye of Victor; and two grandchildren, Jessie and Sara Bazyn.
