Read More	St. Paul Man Dies of Exposure - Injured Man found on Lot Christmas Morn - Everett Gay, 48, of St. Paul was found dead Christmas morning on the Prochaska Bros. machinery lot east of the Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. building. Gay suffered a cut on his head from a fall, said those that were with him Christmas Eve. Later he started home. Mrs. Gay called several people Sunday morning to find of the whereabouts of her husband as he had not come home during the night. A search began and he was found shortly. Sheriff Dan Schenck said that Gay was still alive at that time (about 10:30) but unconscious. In a few minutes, by the time the doctor arrived, he died. He had lost some blood but the cause of death, according to authorities was due to exposure. It was estimated that he had lay where he was found for approximately eleven hours. Everett P. Gay was born August 22, 1912 at Burwell, Nebraska to Robert and Hattie Gay. At an early age he moved with his parents to St. Paul where he has since resided. He was baptized in the Baptist faith and received his education in Gage Valley country school system. On November 2, 1935, he was married to Edna Nielsen at Grand Island. They observed their Silver Wedding anniversary on November 2nd of this year. He is survived by his wife, 3 daughters, Mrs. Ellen Dalrymple of Dover, New Hampshire, Joyce and Dorette at home, 5 sons, James of Grand Island, Robert with U. S. Air Force in Germany, Donald, Gary and Larry at home, his father, Robert Gay of Central City, 2 sisters, Mrs. Letitia Gross of Darlington, Wisconsin, Mrs. Dollie Smith of Campbell, California, and 5 grandchildren.
