Description	:	The funeral for Everett R. Thorson, 69, of 223 21st Ave. N.E., will be at 2 p.m. today at Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St. The Rev. James H. Reeb will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mellette. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Arris Dennis American Legion Post No. 151 of Mellette. Visitation will be at the funeral home until the time of services. The family is requested to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. today. He died Tuesday, June 22, 1987 at St. Luke's Hospital. Everett Raymond Thorson was born July 31, 1917, at Melvina Wis., to Edward J. and Dona Berg Thorson. He started school in Minnesota. In 1928 the family moved to Mellette. He attended country school and grad- uated from Mellette High School in 1935. He started farming in the Mellette area. On June 9, 1942, he married Lyvonne E. Morgen at Aberdeen. They lived at Laredo, Texas. He was stationed with the United States Army Air Corp as crew chief on B26 aircraft until 1945 when he received his honorable discharge. They returned to the farm near Mellette where they lived and farmed until 1974 when they moved to Aberdeen. She died March 6, 1983. He married Evelyn Eastman in Buffalo, N.Y., Nov. 5, 1983. They lived in Aberdeen. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church of Mellette, where he was a former treasurer. He was a member of the Arris Dennis American Legion Post No. 151 of Mellette and the Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge, both of Aberdeen. He was a past board member of G.T.A. elevator of Warner.
