Read More	Everett Wayne Hornocker April 1, 1927 - September 10, 2017 Obituary for Everett Wayne Hornocker Everett Wayne Hornocker, son of Everett Poe and Laurena Hornocker, was born in Wayne County, Iowa on April 1, 1927. He passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Wayne was united in marriage to Phyllis Arlene Klinger on March 4, 1949. Throughout their 60 years of marriage, Wayne and Phyllis lived and worked on the same farm south of Allerton, Iowa. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Wayne loved to do woodworking, being on his farm, and traveling. Wayne proudly served his country in the Untied States Navy during WWII. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Arlene Hornocker, parents Everett Poe and Laurena Hornocker, sister Jeanette Poole and brother-in-law Bill Poole. He is survived by his loving daughter Pam Nannas and husband Nick, grandson John Nannas and wife Natalie and great granddaughter Allison, granddaughter Michelle Gomes and husband Steven, brother Maurice Hornocker and wife Leslie, brother-in-law Everett Klinger, daughter Peg Sudol and husband David, grandson Jacob and wife Chen-Hui, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment following service at Allerton Cemetery with military rites by Corydon and Allerton American Legion. Visitation will be Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that all donations be made to the Allerton Fire Department. Condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com
