Description	:	Evert was born and raised on a farm near Armour, South Dakota. He was the son of Herman and Nellie (Rus) De Vries. Evert had three sisters, Pearl De Lange, Geneva Veurink and Katherine De Waard. Evert married Wilamy De Waard in 1941. They raised six daughters, Their married lives had them farming in Douglas County, South Dakota for 25 years until they moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1966. He was the son of Herman and Nellie (Rus) De Vries. Evert had three sisters, Pearl De Lange, Geneva Veurink and Katherine De Waard. Evert married Wilamy De Waard in 1941. They raised six daughters, Their married lives had them farming in Douglas County, South Dakota for 25 years until they moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1966. Evert retired from Waste Management in Omaha at age 69. Evert was sure he was blessed with so many years so God could use him longer. He accepted Jesus in his twenties. He always said "Amy helped him accept Jesus" and remembered the day. He loved to share his faith, was proud of his daughters, and always said he would be ready when God called him Home. His favorite scripture was Psalm 23. He was a blessing to anyone who knew him.
