Description	:	Travelers Rest Evie Plumley Sloan, 84, widow of Dargan Sloan, died Friday, November 13, 2009 at her home. A native of Dark Corner, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Lula Emery Plumley and was of the Baptist faith. She was a wonderful mother and her last thoughts were of her children. Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Park (Chris) of Carlton, OR and Elizabeth (Reesie) Talley (Tom), who was her mother's caregiver; one brother, Garvin Plumley of Greer; three sisters, Sue Burns of Greer, Lou Pruitt of Travelers Rest and Nellie Burns of Landrum; one granddaughter, Stacia Tavares... Read More	Travelers Rest Evie Plumley Sloan, 84, widow of Dargan Sloan, died Friday, November 13, 2009 at her home. A native of Dark Corner, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Lula Emery Plumley and was of the Baptist faith. She was a wonderful mother and her last thoughts were of her children. She was also predeceased by a grandson, Chris Talley. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Jerry Madden. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home of her daughter, Reesie Talley, 101 Henson Dr., Travelers Rest, SC.
