He succumbed to cancer after being in failing health the last six months and bedfast for two weeks. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Huffman Funeral Home, where the body is remaining until the time of the rites. The Rev. C. However, after his retirement, he continued to assist with park work as long as he was able. A lifelong resident of Carroll County, he was born Oct. 30, 1880, at Templeton, where he was reared. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Morgan. He was married to Delma Rehder June 14, 1905, at Dedham. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan farmed near Templeton until they moved to Carroll in 1920. Mrs. Morgan died in October, 1951. A daughter died in infancy. Surviving are three sons: Delbert Morgan, Carroll; Donald Morgan, Roseburg, Ore., and Russell Morgan, Downey, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Edith James of Carroll. (Carroll Daily Times, Carroll, IA, June 28, 1955) Evor Morgan Final rites were held at the Huffman Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon for Evor Morgan, 74, lifelong resident of Carroll County, who had served as custodian of Graham Park for 30 years. The Rev. C. Hugo Orf, minister of the Methodist Church officiated. Lee Bratten sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," accompanied by Mrs. Ralph W. Dunn, pianist, who also played a prelude and postlude. Burial was beside his wife in the Carroll City Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Hughes of Dedham, H.F. Pfiester, Raymond Pulliam, Walter Mohler, H.A. Stratton and Leo Clark. Out-of-town relatives at the service included: Mrs. Dale Van Pelt, Boone; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Goodwin, Mr. and Mrs. William Goodwin, Mrs. Leonard Goodwin and children and Bernadine Goodwin, Glidden, and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Goodwin, Coon Rapids. Mr. Morgan's survivors include three sons: Delbert Morgan, Carroll; Donald Morgan, Roseburg, Ore., and Russell Morgan, Downey, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Edith James of Carroll. Donald Morgan of Roseburg, Ore., and his son, Dean Morgan, of Dallas, Tex., were here last week to visit Mr. Morgan. Mr. Morgan died of cancer Monday [June 27, 1955] afternoon at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Morgan, 1109 North Clark Street.
