Born at Stone Ridge, NB., he was the son of the late Ernest and Eva (Shepard) Brewer. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for nearly 40 years. He enjoyed working with ponies as well as Blacksmithing and Woodworking. Ewart is survived by his wife Rhea M. (Brewer) Brewer, five sons, Terry Brewer and his wife Maxine and Maurice Brewer and his wife Lorraine both of Zealand, Christopher Brewer and his wife Susan of Lower Hainesville, Joseph Brewer and his wife Mary Lou of Millville, Stacey Brewer and his wife Katherine of Burtt's Corner, one daughter, Esther Brewer and her husband Dale of Zealand, two brothers Ernest Brewer of Lower Hainesville, Arnold Brewer and his wife Greta of Zealand, six sisters, Pearl MacQueen and her husband Leslie and Chloe Morehouse and her husband Milton, both of Fredericton, Maureen Estey and her husband Eugene and Heather Ann Betts and her husband Harold both of Zealand, Darlene Morehouse and her husband Vernon of Burtts Corner and Coleen Tranquilla and her husband Marcus of Millville, 16 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday May 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at his home in Zealand. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 pm from the Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church, Rev. Arol Brewer officiating, assisted by Rev. Peter Smith. Interment will take place in the Stone Ridge Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Arnold Amos, Leroy Burtt, Lebarron Burtt, Jackie Chute, Glen Carl and Graydon Crouse. Honorary pallbearers will be Clayton Morehouse, Jack Morehouse, Vernon Allen and Vernon Estey. For those who wish to make a donation in the memory of Ewart the family has suggested the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donors choice.
