Description	:	He was the son of Oliver Parker (1823 – 1900) of Parkertown, NJ, and Edith Elkinton (1830 – 1902) of Philadelphia, PA. Ezra Parker was born in Tuckerton, NJ. The family removed to Philadelphia while he was still very young. He attended the public schools of Philadelphia until he had reached the age of thirteen years, when he entered the Friends'School, at Westtown, where he continued his studies until the age of.nineteen. Read More	He was the son of Oliver Parker (1823 – 1900) of Parkertown, NJ, and Edith Elkinton (1830 – 1902) of Philadelphia, PA. Ezra Parker was born in Tuckerton, NJ. The family removed to Philadelphia while he was still very young. He attended the public schools of Philadelphia until he had reached the age of thirteen years, when he entered the Friends'School, at Westtown, where he continued his studies until the age of.nineteen. He then became associated with his father in the soap manufacturing business,and continued with the establishment until the deathof the founder, in 1900. In association with his brother, George W. Parker, he then carried the business forward until 1906, when it was finally sold, George W. Parker moving to Atlantic City, and EzraParker coming to Barnegat, where he has been a resident since that time. He was one of the organizers of the First National Bank of Barnegat, of which he has since been president and director, as well as a large stockholder. Mr. Parker was elected in 1921 as representative to the New Jersey State Assembly, from Barnegat. His worthy record in the legislative halls of the State during his first term of service led to his re-election. Ezra was the second husband of Mary Etta Collins, daughter of George Collins and Mary Ann Parker.
