Read More	Coon Rapids Enterprise February 8, 1935 Mrs. Conrad Lawrence, 42, a resident of the Star community the past seven years, died at their farm home there Saturday after a brief illness with pneumonia. Mrs. Lawrence, whose maiden name was Fairy B. Rush, was born and raised near Mt. Ayr where she married Conrad Lawrence in 1919 and with her husband and two sons came to Carroll county eight years ago. Mrs. Lawrence and her family were highly regarded in the community where she was a leader in neighborhood activities. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal church here Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, being conducted by Rev. W. F. Clayburg of Villisca, and Rev. R. J. Arms, pastor of the local church. Music was furnished by a quartette composed of George Textor, Mrs. Fred C. Textor, Wellman Kretzinger and Dr. Gertrude Copeland with Mrs. Roswell Jordan at the piano. Pall bearers were Nat Raygor, Willard Smith, Howard Shawd, Fred George, Beryl McLaughlin and A. M. Snyder. The obituary follows: Fairy B. Rush was born October 24, 1892, near Mt. Ayr, Iowa, and departed this life February 2, 1935, at the home northeast of Coon Rapids after a brief illness of only a few days. She was a patient sufferer and bore her illness with great fortitude and assurance that whatever the outcome, all was well. She spent all her early days in Ringold county, Iowa, where she had many relatives and friends. She was married to Conrad Lawrence on February 17, 1919, and to this union two sons were born—Richard, a sophomore in Coon Rapids high school, and Keith, aged 10. With the exception of a few years in Nebraska, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence spent their happy married life in Iowa, and the past seven years at their home northeast of Coon Rapids where they have many close friends. Mrs. Lawrence was active in the affairs of community life. She was a member and past president of the Star Progressive club. She was vitally interested in the higher things of life and spent much of her energy and strength in helping make life more worthwhile for all. She united with the Methodist Episcopal church when a young girl and was a member of the Coon Rapids church.
