Mrs. Peebles was born Nov. 11, 1910, in Alvada, Ohio the daughter of Dorothy (Snyder)and Samuel Schubert. She married Watson Peebles Jr. on May 28, 1938, and he preceded her in death in 1966. Peebles 88, of Edgerton, died Saturday afternoon, Oct. 23, 1999, in Hicksville Community Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for one day. Mrs. Peebles was born Nov. 11, 1910, in Alvada, Ohio the daughter of Dorothy (Snyder)and Samuel Schubert. She married Watson Peebles Jr. on May 28, 1938, and he preceded her in death in 1966. She was a registered nurse and had graduated from Bethany Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago. She had previously worked at Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville, the Knox Linen Service in Edgerton and had done home health care. She was a member of the Edgerton Church of Christ. Surviving are two sons, John (and wife, Donna) of Midwest City, Okla. and David (Jean) of Sycamore; four daughters, Mrs. Calvin (Dorothy) Myers of Sherwood, Mrs. James Steams of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Mrs. Eugene (Ruth) Ordway of Edgerton and Mrs. Mary Hamblin of Edgerton; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Diebley; and Mrs. Dave (Esther) Cole, both of Alvada. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mildred Louise; a brother, Carl Schubert; a sister, and an infant grandson. Visitation will be Tuesday in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Obit supplied by contributor Robert V. Darst (46905328) Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Edgerton Church of Christ with Pastor Lloyd Turnbull officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Home Cemetery in Hicksville.
