Read More	SOURCE: THE MONTICELLO EXPRESS....FEBRUARY 28, 1935...PAGE 1 Mrs. Alva Stadtmueller Passed Away,in Monticello Sat., Feb. 23 The death of Mrs. Alva Stadtmueller occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Stadtmueller in Monticello last Saturday evening, at 8:45 o'clock. She had been in failing health since last August and had been given tender and devoted care by her husband and relatives. Mrs. Stadtmueller went to Rochester, Minn., where she submitted to the removal of a brain tumor in a hospital in that city. The operation appeared to be successful, and she returned home, but her condition proved to be only temporary, and she and her husband returned to Rochester, December 20. She remained for two weeks under observation, and the attending physicians then reported that there was little that could be done to save her life. She gradually failed until death relieved her of her sufferings. The maiden name of Mrs. Stadtmueller was Fannie Christina Eiben. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Eiben of Monticello. Her birth occurred on the Eiben homestead in Castle Grove Township, June 26, 1900. She grew to young womanhood in her home, and attended the rural schools nearby. After completing the prescribed course of education she assisted with the work in the Eiben home, and later was employed at Maples Inn by Mrs. Adamson for two years. The marriage of the subject of this sketch to Alva Stadtmueller took place January 24, 1927. One daughter was born to this union, Rose Joan, who is two years and two months old. She will sadly miss the tender ministrations that only a mother can give to her little daughter. Both the young husband and daughter have the heartfelt sympathy of a large group of friends in the untimely passing of Mrs. Stadtmueller. Funeral services were held at 12:30 o'clock at the Austin Stadtmueller home In Monticello, Tuesday, February 26, and final services were held at St. Peter and Paul's Lutheran church in Castle Grove Township. Both services were in charge of Rev. G. Wolf, Mrs. Stadtmueller's pastor. Burial was made at the cemetery adjoining the church. In addition to her husband and daughter, Mrs. Stadtmueller Is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Eiben of Monticello, and the following brothers and sisters: Garrett, John, Ben and Carl of Monticello, Mrs. Carl Jacobi of Guttenberg; Emma of Milwaukee, and Augusta and Louise of Monticello.
