Description	:	Fannie Van Dieren, 85, of Ireton, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 9, at the Hawarden Community Hospital. Funeral service was 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Christian Reformed Church in Ireton with the Rev. Norlyn Van Beek and Pastor Stuart Schreur officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Van Dieren was born May 26, 1922, in Hull, the daughter of Gerrit and Cornelia Engeltjes. She grew up in the Lebanon and Hawarden area. Mrs. Van Dieren was born May 26, 1922, in Hull, the daughter of Gerrit and Cornelia Engeltjes. She grew up in the Lebanon and Hawarden area. On December 28, 1944, she married Fred Van Dieren at Lebanon. They farmed in the Hawarden and Ireton area until moving into Ireton in 1985. He died in May of 1991. She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Ireton. She loved cooking for her family and having them over to the house whenever possible. She also loved being a "grandma" to, the kids"'at West Sioux. She enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society and, liked going on their outings:. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Survivors include her children, Jan Riemersma of Sioux Center and Glenn Van Dieren of Hawarden; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Bernie Engeltjes and wife Betty of Edgerton, Minnesota, and Andy Engeltjes and wife Betty of Orange City; four sisters, Bertha Franken, Grace Van Roekel, and Marie Fedders and husband Gerrit, all of Sioux Center, and Nellie Meyer and husband Willard of Sheldon; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Lewis; a sister, Hattie Vollink; and an infant brother. Sioux Center News 2007-12-12.
