She was riding in a buggy with her cousin, Dennis Williams, when she discovered that her dress was on fire. Springing from the buggy she rushed for a farm house, while the flames streamed behind her. Mr. Osborn was seriously injured about the hands and arms. The origin of the fire was either from the match used by the man in lighting his cigarette or from the cigarette itself.
