Description	:	Fannie Jean (Hinton) Rogers, age 83, of Oroville, died on Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at the Mid Valley Hospital in Omak. She was born on Dec. 28, 1916, to Sylvanus and Cimarrona (Robinson) Hinton at their home in Pleasant Grove, CA. The family moved to Washington State in March of 1928, living for a time in Chelan and then in December coming to Oroville where they continued living. Read More	Fannie Jean (Hinton) Rogers, age 83, of Oroville, died on Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at the Mid Valley Hospital in Omak. She was born on Dec. 28, 1916, to Sylvanus and Cimarrona (Robinson) Hinton at their home in Pleasant Grove, CA. The family moved to Washington State in March of 1928, living for a time in Chelan and then in December coming to Oroville where they continued living. Fannie graduated from Oroville High School in May of 1934 as Valedictorian of the class. She married Wesley Rogers in Oroville at the Methodist Episcopal Church on Sept. 1, 1939 and has since resided in Oroville. Her husband Wesley, preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1993. Fannie was a member of the Methodist Church since 1942 and was active in the United Methodist Women, holding several offices, including president. She also served on the District officers team for four years. Fannie was a member of the Oroville Grange since 1939, holding many offices including master; she also belonged to the State and National Grange. Fannie also was a member of the Oroville Senior Citizens, AARP and the Okanogan Chapter of the National Association of Federal Employees. Survivors include three nephews, one niece, numerous great-nephews and nieces, and many good friends. Fannie was preceded in death by three brothers. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Oroville with Pastor Jin Ming Ma officiating. Interment will follow at the Oroville Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church. Bergh Funeral Services of Oroville/Tonasket are in care of arrangements.
